Hello, dear ones!
I hope you are well and good you take the time to read my blog post.
I'm sure you've been waiting for this.
Today I will tell you in detail how I came to art in the first place.
So, make yourself comfortable, grab a cup of tea and be excited.
I could say now that the talent for painting is in my blood. I don't.
As we all know, one is not born an artist.
There is a lot of hard work, courage and perseverance behind it (and a lot of other things that I don't want to list here).
So, the enthusiasm for painting started in my childhood.
For as long as I can remember, I loved painting.
During my school days, I painted for myself, in my spare time.
As a teenager, I started to post the first pictures on my Instagram account.
This led me to my first paid orders already in the circle of friends and acquaintances.
Back then, I mainly painted animals and portraits.
If you scroll down deep in my Instagram account, you will find some old posts 😉 (https://www.instagram.com/celine.frericks.art/)
During my studies to become a primary school teacher, I experimented with the technique «Acrylic Pouring».
I still find the results HUGE. I love it!
As part of my bachelor thesis, I immersed myself in this painting technique and was able to hold my first own exhibition in my then studio.
A complete success!
This technique is great and beautiful, but it is impossible to implement it without stains on the walls and floor. Therefore, even at home in the room is not ideal...
In addition, this technique is the epitome of color waste.
It drips AN INCREDIBLE amount of paint from the canvas that can rarely be reused.
Soon I had a studio in my apartment again.
But in this new apartment I did not want to risk staining and dirty everything.
That's why I invested in an online course on Abstract Painting.
It turned out to be one of the best investments I've ever made.
The timing of this course could not be better. Because who knocked on our doors?
CORONA.
Perfect to immerse yourself in new material at home in the studio.
I had my fun, learned a lot and constantly developed my abstract painting style.
And since then also remained faithful to abstract painting.
An abstract picture can tell you so much.
Have you ever consciously sat in front of an abstract painting and let it affect you?
In a way, you can really feel the story behind it.
Or the picture even awakens feelings or memories in you.
Achieving this and hearing from customers and visitors is one of the best compliments I can imagine as an artist.
So now I'm going to finish.
This post has been going on longer than planned.
Look forward to the next one, because it's about where I get my inspiration from.
See you later!
Your Céline
